Throwing Muses – Summer of Love

Alternative rock legends Throwing Muses return with their new single, “Summer of Love,” a brooding acoustic gem. This track is part of their forthcoming album, Moonlight Concessions, slated for release on March 13 via Fire Records.

Produced by Kristin Hersh, the band’s lead singer, guitarist, and prolific songwriter, the album is heralded as a “back to basics” project, steeped in the group’s essence. Hersh’s deft touch is apparent in “Summer of Love,” where sparse arrangements build into a layered, emotionally resonant piece. Violins sweep over her rhythmic guitar, creating a baroque yet modern atmosphere.

In addition to “Summer of Love,” the album will include last year’s single, “Drugstore Drastic.” With their tour across the UK and EU this spring, Throwing Muses reaffirm their place as icons of alternative rock.
